What themes run throughout your work? "Understanding the Rose" trying to understand the female half of the world visually, women are like Roses, Beautiful, Fragrant, and Roses are after all the symbol of love
How do you hope your work will affect its audience? Enough to make them look for a while, maybe to set them thinking, perchance to inspire
What sounds influence your work? Opera, the sound of breathing, Rock, the sound of a kiss, the Blues, the sound of a heartbeat
What makes you decide to create your work? What catches my eye ! I have a fertile Brain, I can see a picture in a drain!
Where do your talents lie? Artistically, in imagery, in other areas of my life, logistics is my strong point
What successes have you had so far? A couple of pictures published in Photoshop Creative Magazine, and Photos in the local paper, not a lot, but, from little acorns do mighty oaks grow, or at least I hope
What was the first creative thing that you ever did? Lie to my Mum about who spilt the cornflakes packet ! I took the top off a shoebox and painted a twee cottage with flowers round the door aged five
Has anyone taught you how to use your talent better? No I am self taught, I am however very observant and like to study other peoples work
What makes you creative? The ability to see the extraordinary in the ordinary
How did you get started? I started by cropping and tidying snaps for the family album to make the pics look nicer and then delved into Paint Shop Pro, to give my snaps a bit of a zing, then I discovered the joys of Photoshop!
What inspires you? My kids, Nature, Music and the "Rose"
Who inspires you? Mauritz Escher, the man was amazing, his eye for perspective is beyond belief
What do you do when you are suffering from creative block? Switch everything off, grab the camera and go for a walk, sometimes I will see something, other times I stop at the pub on the way home :-)
What are you trying to achieve? In the words of Roy Orbison, "How would I like to be remembered, I'd just like to be remembered"
Do you collaborate? Hmm I will take on other people's comments , but as yet a full blown collaboration No

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen / heard / experienced? The birth of my four children, there is something so mindblowingly mystical about it
What do you consider to be the most important thing in life? My kids, nothing else comes close
Who/what is your nemesis and why? TIME ! there is never enough of it for all I want to do
Artist Statement: I spent over twenty years as a Tour Manager in the music business and theatre, when I retired from the touring, I was at a loose end for a little while then I remembered my camera and the green part of the world I reside in, so I set off and started looking really looking at the world again, which led to me being here now with my Art ETC
