I think it looks like the laundromat attendant lives a bit of a sordid private life and having got hideously drunk the night before, has now succumbed to her occaisonal curiosity about how the clothes must feel to be inside the machines. It's a metaphor for her hangover.

I got that impression too. It looks more like someone trying not to fall too far into a washing machine rather than a body stuffed into one. I like the style of the image though.

Looks more like, couldn't be bothered to take off cloths before washing and drying.
