What themes run throughout your work? I love experiencing all kinds of photography but I have a thing for retro stuff. Therefore, I would say most of my photos have some kind of retro style.
What sounds influence your work? That sound a cigarette makes when you light it off in water. Also: Electro, jazz, rock, funk, music helps me create atmospheres.
What makes you decide to create your work? It can be anything. I often get ideas but need time to develop the final concept. In the end it rarely looks exactly how I wanted it to look at the very beginning. It’s all about interacting with the model and being spontaneous.
Has anyone taught you how to use your talent better? People I’ve worked with. I’m mostly self-taught but criticism helps me improve a lot.
What makes you creative? Everyday life inspires me. I love going somewhere and thinking: this instant would make a great photo.
How did you get started? I bought my first camera 4 years ago and started taking pictures of pretty much anything, then developed some kind of personal style.
What inspires you? I get inspired by the most random things... Music, people, dreams and mostly atmospheres...
Who inspires you? Absolutely anybody. People I know as well as strangers I randomly meet in the bus. I meet lots of people in the bus!
Do you collaborate? Quite rarely. This is something I’m interested in though.
Ignoring money and all of life’s woes, what would you want to be? A photographer.
Accepting the need for money and all of life’s woes, what do you want to be? A graphic designer in the advertising industry.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen / heard / experienced? I like seeing the best in everyday things. Special moments that you would like to keep frozen for a very long time.
