Christopher Fabbri

What themes run throughout your work? Illustrational compositions, landscapes, abstracts, portraits

How do you hope your work will affect its audience? I paint one of a kind paintings, so when you buy my art, you have something new and unique.

What sounds influence your work? Down-tempo, trip-hop and chill-out

What makes you decide to create your work? The energy around me, the subject matter, and the positive responses I got when I first starting making and collecting my art back in the early 90’s

Where do your talents lie? Brush control, painting techniques, unique surfaces, Canvas, wood and paper.

What successes have you had so far? Best Seller on Paintingsdirect.com in 2000, I have also shown my art work in many venues in the San Francisco area. And also, I am working on my 3rd book of poetry.

What was the first creative thing that you ever did? Landscape paintings in southern Maine with my grandfather when I was about 10 years old.

Has anyone taught you how to use your talent better? I have always had a mentor to work with, some stand out better then others, but I adored my teachers at New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University in Boston, and all my friends that have kept in touch with me over the last 20 years, while I have gone through many phases and styles in my artwork

What makes you creative? Honesty, living with mistakes and how to justify the means. Documenting your self existence on Earth as a visualist.

How did you get started? I was classically trained all prima landscape painting, and was taught to take my time and do my best work. Art school really gave me a chance to focus in on my style and comfort levels in making art.

What inspires you? Trust, those that adore artwork and take care of it.

Who inspires you? Those that continue to do what they do, no matter what steps in their path.

What do you do when you are suffering from creative block? Though I have not felt that way allot, but on often I let it become a part of the creative process.

What are you trying to achieve? History.

Do you collaborate? Anytime. I have painted logos for music groups and other artists. I have had the chance curate group art shows and demonstrate a high profile as a supporter of the fine arts.

What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen / heard / experienced? Depending on what your meaning of ‘amazing’ is.. I’ve seen and been part of many art shows in San Francisco... I am often impressed at the wide variety of talent the inner city and suburban artists can make when they come together.

What do you consider to be the most important thing in life? Enjoyment and satisfaction
